In 2023, Hannah Yata put a name to the force that stalks all her work: "The Divine Barbarian," nine feet of oil on canvas where the sacred and the savage stop pretending to be opposites. The title is the thesis — divinity not as serenity but as something wild, feral, and crowned — a goddess in war paint rather than a saint at rest. It's the confrontational peak of the era that produced her show The Alchemy and the Ecstasy, Yata at her most unapologetic. Faithfully reproduced for the first time as a 500mg 24-karat gold Aurum.

Hannah Yata’s paintings have a habit of leaving the frame. Her canvases circulate relentlessly online — shared, tatooed, dissected in art forums by people arguing about what the fish heads mean — while the originals themselves are nearly unobtainable. The monumental canvases that take months to paint, produced at only a few per year, disappear into private collections the moment a show opens. That scarcity is structural. A painter working at nine feet per canvas will only ever produce so many, and the market has noticed — she sits exactly where the last generation’s visionary painters were before institutions caught up and prices followed. Collecting Yata means getting there first.

Certified authentic.
Each Aurum is double serialized, with one unique serial number on the bill, and one on the certificate of authenticity, or COA. Each COA is sequentially numbered, so you'll know which you got off the production line of our mint.
The serials on every COA are protected by FIPS-compliant holographic, tamper-evident seals. The Aurum bills have the same embedded anti-counterfeiting tech found in the Swiss franc. In short, there's never been a more protected gold collectible or art print.

Protected by dual layers of flexible polymer, the 24-karat gold inside is safe from scratches and exposure to the elements.
True scarcity

About the Artist
Hannah Yata
Hannah Yata paints like the wilderness got a vote. Born in Georgia and homeschooled in the countryside, she fell into colorful oils before she was ten and never left. She earned her BFA in painting from the University of Georgia before moving to New York in 2012, where the collision of city excess and her rural instincts lit the fuse. Her giant canvases are dense, teeming ecosystems rendered at monumental scale — some stretching nine and ten feet — where fish-headed women, orchids, serpents, and storms tangle together in what she describes as layers of symbolism about how we treat the natural world, and how we treat women, and why those are the same question. A fixture of the new contemporary surrealism movement, Yata is that rare thing: a painter whose wildest images are also her arguments.
