Introducing the Aurum
Physical, real, 24-karat gold bills.
The Aurum® is a recent invention that solves the problem of secure hyperfractional gold. They’re as secure as modern fiat currency, pegged to the spot price of gold, and come in a full range of fungible weights. These are the negotiable instruments of sound money cash, and the physical deliverable of our Standard sound money project.
Gold cash transfers an amount of economic value from one hand to another. It is:
Private.
Since you’re bartering an amount of gold for goods or services, the transaction needs no middlemen, no internet, and incurs no transaction fees. Both parties are just exchanging goods between themselves, and no one else needs to approve it.
Secure.
The technology to make Aurums comes from the semiconductor industry and uses real, highly-regulated currency printers. Each bill contains the same modern anti-counterfeiting measures found in the world’s most secure fiat currencies, and has never been successfully faked.
Gold.
Standard Aurums are made out of atomically deposited molecules of gold into very fine sheets. Despite being metal, they bend and fold for storing in a wallet. And because it is a certified gold product, we peg the price to the spot price of gold.
